VTCBase Guide

Everything you need to set up and run your virtual trucking company (VTC) in Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator: what VTCBase is, how its internal economy works, everything you can configure, and how to bring it to life with roleplay.

1. What is VTCBase?

VTCBase is a free management panel for virtual trucking companies (VTCs) in ETS2 and ATS. It connects to Trucky and automatically imports the routes your drivers complete. On top of that, it adds a full internal economy with roleplay: pay per kilometre, fuel, commissions, contracts, convoys, loans, garages, multi-base and rankings.

In short: TruckersMP/Trucky records that you drive; VTCBase turns those routes into a company with money, goals and competition between drivers.

100% free

No payments, no pay-to-win, no ads.

Steam login

No email sign-ups; you log in with Steam.

ETS2 + ATS

Supports both simulators in parallel.

2. How it works (the full flow)

  1. 1

    Register your company with Steam

If VTCBase detects your VTC on Trucky, it pre-fills it. Otherwise you create it manually (name, currency, home city).

  2. 2

    Connect Trucky

Paste your API token and Company ID, and set up the webhook in Trucky (copy the URL and secret from the panel). Without this, no routes arrive.

  3. 3

    Routes import automatically

As soon as a driver delivers, it arrives via webhook (real time) and syncs every 30 min as backup.

  4. 4

    The economy does its magic

Each route computes income, deductions and commission. The driver earns their wage, the company keeps its cut.

  5. 5

    Your drivers play and compete

They accept contracts, run convoys, take loans, upgrade their garage, climb the rankings.

3. The internal economy (the core)

Core rule (and fully configurable): by default, Hardcore routes (those that give Hardcore Points in ETS2) generate money — it's the most realistic option. But hardcore is not required.

VTCBase is 100% compatible with TruckersMP and normal mode. If your VTC plays exclusively on TruckersMP (or normal single-player), you enable those routes to count too: they can pay 100% like any other, or with the reduction you choose. You're in control — the economy adapts to how your VTC plays, not the other way around.

Driver income

Each route's gross wage is built by adding:

  • Pay per km — the base pay per kilometre (the main wage driver).
  • Cargo-type bonus — extra per km for ADR, fragile, high-value or heavy loads. They stack.
  • Distance bonus — rewards long routes (every X km raises the pay/km).
  • Weight bonus — extra per tonne carried.
  • Consecutive-route bonus — if this route's origin is the previous route's destination.
  • Warehouse pickup bonus — if they carry cargo that was stored at the base.

Deductions

From the gross, you deduct:

  • Fuel — litres used × price per litre (you set it).
  • Cargo damage — damage % reported by the game.
  • Fines and tolls — from the simulator (fines can be reduced or waived).
  • Company commission — the % the VTC keeps (its main income).
  • Rental commission — if the driver has no truck of their own.

Net income never drops below 0 (a driver never loses money on a route; worst case they earn 0).

The company treasury

The VTC has its own treasury (company balance) fed mainly by the commissions from each route. That money pays out contract, convoy and event rewards, and buys/upgrades bases. It never goes negative: if there are no funds, it pays what's available.

4. Everything you can configure

As owner/admin, from /admin you control the whole economy. These are the main blocks (everything has sensible defaults: you can start without touching anything).

💶 Economy

Pay per km, fuel price, company commission, all the bonuses (cargo, distance, weight, consecutive route), penalties (truck in poor condition, ignoring the return-to-base call), reductions for TruckersMP and normal mode, repair and truck prices.

🏭 Garage, warehouse & workshop

Base fuel depot (discounted refueling), dynamic cargo warehouse (drivers store and reserve goods), the "return-to-base call" (forces a return every X routes), and the workshop with 6 materials restocked by delivering the matching cargo to your home city.

🏦 Bank (loans)

Driver loans in 3 tiers (basic/medium/premium) with interest, term and daily installments (only charged on days they play). And company loans that inject money into the treasury.

🏗 Real estate (multi-base)

Buy branches in other cities and upgrade each base's warehouse, depot and workshop. Selling a base refunds 80% of the investment. The first base of each game is free.

📋 Activities

Contracts (6 types: distance, deliveries, perfect deliveries, specific cargo, specific route, hardcore), group convoys with a bonus for finishing together, events with chained legs, and daily bonuses (3 challenges per day per driver, a gift that costs the company nothing).

👥 Team & governance

Roles (admin, manager, driver, visitor), invite codes, disciplinary tools (kick, ban, readmit), public visitor mode (show off your VTC with no login), and public cross-company rankings (opt-in) plus the internal ranking.

5. Roleplay: COOPTRANS-style examples

The fun of VTCBase is building an economy that makes sense. Here are two full "recipes" depending on your VTC's style, with example values you can copy and tweak.

🚛 Realistic VTC (COOPTRANS style)

A demanding economy, hardcore only, where money is hard-earned and you must care for your truck.

  • Pay per km: 1.20 · Fuel: 0.50/L · Company commission: 15%
  • Only hardcore routes earn money (leave "accept non-hardcore" off).
  • Poor-condition penalty: 10% — forces repairs at the workshop.
  • Enable the return-to-base call (min 5 / max 8 routes) so they come back to deposit cargo.
  • ADR/heavy cargo bonus to reward the tough routes.
  • Weekly contract: "5 perfect deliveries" (0% damage), juicy reward.
  • Sunday convoy: a long group route with a per-km bonus.
  • Bank enabled: rookies take a basic loan for their first upgraded truck.
  • Multi-base: one branch per region (Spain, Central Europe, North) and spread the deliveries.

😎 Casual / TruckersMP VTC

For groups playing on TruckersMP or normal mode who want to progress without stress.

  • Enable "accept non-hardcore jobs" so every route counts.
  • Low non-hardcore reduction (e.g. 20% instead of 60%) so they still earn well.
  • Higher pay per km (e.g. 1.50) and soft penalties.
  • Lots of daily bonuses (raise the multiplier to 1.5–2.0).
  • Simple "deliveries" contracts and frequent convoys to build community.

💡 Immersion ideas

  • Use contracts as "client orders" with roleplay names ("Oranges from Valencia to Poland").
  • Convoys as "official company outings" with a scheduled date.
  • The bank to finance the first truck or expand the fleet.
  • Real estate to "open branches" as the VTC grows.
  • The workshop: have drivers deliver materials to base to keep stock up (real internal logistics).
  • Rename the currency to your VTC's own for extra immersion.

6. First steps (checklist)

  1. 1.Log in with Steam and create your company (or accept it if detected on Trucky).
  2. 2.Connect Trucky: API token + Company ID + webhook (URL and secret from the settings). Without this, no routes arrive.
  3. 3.Tune your economy in /admin (or keep the defaults to start).
  4. 4.Invite your drivers by generating an invite code.
  5. 5.Create your first contract or convoy to give the team goals.
  6. 6.(Optional) Enable the public ranking and visitor mode to show off your VTC.
